Curacao is a small desert island within the southwestern portion of the Caribbean. It is the largest of the Netherland Antilles. It is 38 miles long and up to 7 miles wide. It is a short 42 mile hop to Aruba and about 2 and 1/2 hours by air from Miami. Curacao is part of the ABC islands which lie outside of the hurricane belt, making it a great place to go during the off season.
