Kaua'i is known as the wettest spot
on Earth. Mount Wai'ale'ale averages 485 inches of rain per year. I
guess this is why Kaua'i is known as "The Garden Isle". Kaua'i has
more sandy beaches than any other island in the Hawaiian chain. It is also
the least populated of the four major islands with a permanent resident
population of about 60,000. |
