We stayed at the Oualie Beach Resort in Nevis.
The property consists of villas located directly on Oualie Beach.
The property was nicely managed and we enjoyed our screened porch.
The property is not 4 star but it sits on one of the best beaches on
Nevis.
We stayed in one of the newer "Premier" rooms. It was large and
nicely appointed but it was set back a bit from the beach. The
older and smaller units actually are closer to the water.
Oualie Beach has lots of beach chairs and hammocks which makes for a
relaxing place.
We drove over to the Nisbet Plantation and
wow what a place. Probably the nicest place on the island.
Very understated and beautiful. The rooms are situated in a large
grassy area with views of the ocean. The beach is pretty but it
was a little windy when we were there.
After seeing the Nisbet Plantation it was easy to see why it gets
such rave reviews.
We also drove up to check out the Mount Nevis
Hotel. The property looked very nice and the views were awesome.
It was a little bit too remote for our tastes being that you have to
drive up a rather long dirt road to get to the hotel. (pictures are
below)
While at the botanical garden we stopped by
to check out the Montpelier Plantation. It is located on top of a
hill outside of town. The resort looked very relaxing and upscale.
The restaurant is supposed to be fabulous.
